How it works
The vital first step
To reach the initial candidate pool we use a variety of media, including
non-press options such as leafleting, SMS messaging, radio and even poster
campaigns on community noticeboards.
Our existing candidate database provides an additional source of new introductions, as do creative advertising campaigns in carefully selected media within your locality. Response from all of these quarters is then intensively managed, to gain further interest.
Personal connection
We typically deploy up to 25 consultants to manage initial response. They
talk informally to candidates about their interests, assess their potential
and tell them all about the role. People with potential are then invited
along to a special event, where they can take part in practical group assessment
exercises, meet the organisation and generally find out more.
Approachability is the key. We often talk to a candidate more than once prior to the event, to iron out any queries, provide encouragement and help them prepare.
Bringing out potential
accelerate assessment events are carefully designed to uncover "hidden"
qualities. Time and again clients have hired excellent people they would
not have even seen on the strength of their CVs alone. This is a consequence
of sessions that go beyond "experience" and look at a candidate's qualities
and potential in practical situations. For occupations such as care and
housing these are often the most important criteria.
If you are looking for people to retrain or who are currently outside of the job market, accelerate provides the perfect bridge: attracting quality candidates whilst giving you the means to assess them accurately.
